Team India Would Like To Extend Their Lead
The Indian Cricket Team won the first ODI in Pune in scintillating fashion to take an early lead in the series. The hosts were put in to bat by England after winning the toss and the Men in Blue came up with a remarkable answer. Shikhar Dhawan top-scored for team India as he managed to score 98 runs. Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Krunal Pandya all scored well-deserved half-centuries to take India to 317/5 in 50 overs.
In response, the Englishmen came up all guns blazing as they scored more than 100 runs in the first 10 overs. However, the Indian pacers brought team India back into the game and the entire English innings collided on 251 runs as the Men in Blue marched to their maiden win in the ODI series. The second ODI will now take place in Pune on March 26 and if team India manages to win it, they will grab the series.
