Watch: Rohit Sharma Hugs Lasith Malinga After He Dismissed Virat Kohli

Cricket is called the gentlemen’s game for a reason and that reason was beautifully displayed by Rohit Sharma in the ongoing fourth One-Day International against Sri Lanka in Colombo.

Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians teammate Lasith Malinga has been going through a tough time since returning to ODIs after a 19-month gap. One of the best limited-overs bowlers of this generation, the veteran pacer has managed to pick up just 8 wickets in 11 games at an average of 63.25 prior to the ongoing game. Not surprisingly he has faced severe criticism for his indifferent show. However, the 33-year old once again showed that why he is regarded as one of the best bowlers of this generation as he became just the eighth fast-bowler in the history of ODIs to take 300 wickets.

Malinga achieved the incredible feat by dismissing  a well-set Virat Kohli for 131 and as soon as he picked up the wicket, Rohit walked towards him and showed the highest example of sportsmanship by hugging him for the milestone.
