The Indian team has finally organized two three-day matches ahead of the tour to England and this will be a great opportunity to test out the youngsters in the squad. India paid the price for not playing warm-up games ahead of the World Test Championship finals against New Zealand as they clearly lacked match practice.

The Indian bowlers looked really tired in the finals and players in the fringe might get a look in for the five-match test series. It helps the batsmen to get used to the conditions a little bit and here are 3 players who can seal their spot in the Indian team with good performance in the practice match.

3 Players Who Can Seal Their Spot In The Indian Team With Good Performance In The Practice Match:

Mohammad Siraj has been a sensational performer in the last six months for India and he deserved a spot in the playing XI in the final against  New Zealand. He had done well with a five-wicket haul in Australia and his ability to hit the fuller lengths while moving the ball was a great advantage to have in the team.

Siraj has also been really good with the new ball and he has also shown that he can bowl those long spells. He has been putting in honest efforts which is always a hallmark of his game. He will make a big difference on the side if gets a chance and his confidence levels have really high too.

Mayank Agarwal:

Mayank Agarwal had an excellent start to international cricket with consistent performances in Australia and also in the home test series against Bangladesh and South Africa. He has already scored a double century and shown a lot of temperament in the few big innings he has played.

Agarwal has played 14 tests so far scoring 1052 runs at an average of 45.7 which is really good for an Indian opener. He was dropped from the playing XI to accommodate Shubman Gill in the playing XI who was very impressive. Gill is ruled out with an injury now and this will be the best time for Agarwal to get back into the scheme of things.

KL Rahul:

KL Rahul has been on the sidelines for the last couple of test series and the 29-year-old was brought into the squad post his excellent form in the limited-overs series. Rahul has played 36 tests scoring 2006 runs so far at an average of 34.6 which is pretty ordinary for a test opener.

However, he has shown at times that he can suit in the middle order really well and there has been no doubt about his potential with the bat. Rahul has scored five centuries and 11 half-centuries in test cricket so far and if he can show a lot of resistance in the warmup games, he will certainly book his spot in the playing XI.

Also, his last innings in England went really well with an excellent 149 run knock and he will be looking to take a leaf out of the book.
