IND vs Leicestershire: Watch - Rishabh Pant Gets A Hug from Ravindra Jadeja After Getting Dismissed

On the second day of the sole warm-up game, Rishabh Pant played an outstanding hand by scoring 76 important runs in just 87 balls and handing the hosts Leicester the upper hand.

As is customary in warm-up matches, the opponent fielded as many as fur players, and it appears Pant has benefited the English county the most as he went on a spree against his own teammates. Before starting to open his shoulders, he began off cautiously and was stuck at 44 for a very long period.

Rishabh Pant Went Hard After The Indian Bowlers

Umesh Yadav, who he blasted for a big six with only a superb scoop, was the target of his particular wrath. Before attacking Ravindra Jadeja, who eventually had him out, he went after Mohammed Siraj and other bowlers. When he mistimed a shot against Jadeja, which Shreyas Iyer successfully caught, he had already hit him for a four and was attempting to get a maximum.

While India’s top order was unable to get any batting practise on the opening day of their warm-up match against Leicestershire on Thursday, wicketkeeper Srikar Bharat excelled with an unbroken 70.

India’s star players struggled as the visitors fell to 81 for 5, reaching 246 for 8 at the end of the play on day 1 which was cut short due to rain. Bharat excelled during his 158-minute stint in the middle. The 28-year-old Andhra batter hit eight fours and a six overall while facing 111 balls. Mohammed Shami was keeping Bharat company on 18 at the time of stumps on day 1.

The hosts in response on the back of Pant’s knock got close to India’s score. Chteshwar Pujara would be disappointed as he got out for a duck as he was dismissed by Shami.
