Andre Russell lost his cool after failing to score big in the ongoing game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The allrounder hardly gets ample time to spend on the pitch. However, on Tuesday (April 16), he had time as well as the platform to go all out with the bat. He walked out to bat at the end of the 13th over after Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed KKR captain Shreyas Iyer for 11. KKR were on 133 for 3 at that stage.

With the run rate of more than 10 and seven overs still left in the innings, Andre Russell had a golden opportunity to spend a good amount of time on the pitch. However, the West Indies star squandered the opportunity and departed after facing just 10 balls.

He scored 13 runs before being dismissed by Avesh Khan on the first ball of the 17th over. And his reaction after getting out made his feelings crystal clear. As soon as Dhruv Jurel caught his mistimed shot in the deep, Andre Russell looked disappointed with himself and punched his bat in anger.

Watch Andre Russell's furious reaction:

Talking about the game, KKR went on to post a daunting total of 223 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs after being asked to bat first. The architect of the big total was Sunil Narine. Opening the innings, the KKR star smashed his maiden T20 ton to power his team to a mammoth total. He scored 109 runs off 56 balls with the help of 13 fours and six sixes.

KKR and RR are eyeing a crucial win tonight. Both the teams are currently holding the top two spots in the points table and another win will further boost their position. With five wins from six games, RR are at the top while KKR are at the second spot with four wins from five games.
