Watch: Yuzvendra Chahal outwits Shubman Gill after taking tips from Keshav Maharaj

Yuzvendra Chahal showed his class once again by taking the huge wicket of Shubman Gill in the ongoing game between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Asked to bat first, RR recovered from a poor start to post a daunting total of 196/3 in the allotted 20 overs. After Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler departed inside the powerplay, Riyan Parag and Sanju Samson shared a big 130-run stand for their team to bail them out of trouble.

Parag scored 76 runs off 48 balls with the help of three fours and five sixes before being dismissed by Mohit Sharma in the 19th over. Samson, on the other, remained unbeaten on 68 and took his team to a 190-plus total.

In reply, GT started well with the bat. Their openers - Shubman Gill and Kuldeep Sen - shared a 64-run stand for the opening wicket before Kuldeep Sen turned things around. In just two overs, he picked up three wickets to put RR on top.

In his first over, he dismissed Sudharsan to give RR the first breakthrough before sending back Matthew Wade and Abhinav Manohar in his second over to reduce GT to 79 for 3 from 64 for 0. Yuzvendra Chahal soon joined the party by dismissing Vijay Shankar for 16 to leave GT reeling at 111 for 4.

And while RR were well on top after those four wickets, the presence of a well-set Shubman Gill was still a big threat for them. However, Yuzvendra Chahal gave his team a huge breakthrough by dismissing his India teammate in the 16th over. Gill was stumped for 72 runs. His knock came off 44 balls and was studded with six fours and two sixes.

Gill stepped down the track to play a big shot but Yuzvendra Chahal outsmarted him by bowling a wide delivery outside off. Gill tried to get his bat to the ball but failed before Samson took the bails off. 

Interestingly, Yuzvendra Chahal was seen talking to fellow spinner Keshav Maharaj before bowling the wide delivery. On the previous two deliveries, he was hit for two fours by Gill and decided to have a talk with the South Africa star. While the details of the interaction between them are not known, one can say that it really worked.
