American Indigos vs Scottish Mulberries- Match Report, GPCL 2022

American Indigos registered a convincing 59-run victory over Scottish Mulberries in match no.7 of the ongoing Global Power Cricket League (GPCL) T20 at Yamuna Sports Complex Cricket Ground, Delhi on Tuesday (October 4). 

American Indigos skipper Narsingh Deonarine won the toss and elected to bat first. Riding on opener Akshay Homeraj’s 52-ball 65 and useful contributions from skipper Narsingh Deonarine (23 off 17 and Mario Rampersaud (26 off 26), they posted 143/7 in their stipulated 20 overs. 

Ollie Sheen and Irshad Eriyal were the stand-out bowlers for the Mulberries, both claiming two wickets by conceding 22 runs in their 4 overs. 

Rahul Mishra Breezes Past Scottish Mulberries Batting

In reply, the Scottish Mulberries had a nightmare as their batting collapsed for just 84 runs in 17.3 overs. 

Irshad Eriyal, the no.10 batter was the top scorer for the team with 26 off 18 balls. 

For American Indigos, Rahul Mishra was the pick of the bowlers as he took a five-wicket haul and gave away only 7 runs in his four overs. He was well supported by Timish Patel who ended up with figures of 3 for 22.
