Pakistan Batter and former Captain Babar Azam is going through a very rough patch in his International career and he once again proved the case right after getting out for just 1 off 7 balls during the 2nd Innings of the 2nd test between Australia and Pakistan at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Babar Azam had scores of 21 and 14 in 2 innings during the 1st Test at Perth which Pakistan went on to lose by a margin of 360 runs. The visitors led by Shan Masood are looking to fight back and win the 2nd test in order to equalize the test series but as of now, they are looking far away from doing so.

Widely regarded as one of the best Batters in world cricket, Babar Azam has continued to falter with his performances on foreign soil. He is a key component for the Men in Green’s batting line-up and his form as well as performance directly affects the team’s result. Babar has been unable to produce any impact whatsoever as the 2nd test is also looking like going away from Pakistan’s grip.

It was Shan Masood’s decision to bat first at MCG and after scoring 187 on Day 1, the Aussies ended up scoring 318/10 thanks to important knocks from Marnus Labuschagne (63) and Mitchell Marsh (41). In response, Abdullah Shafique started off well for Pakistan by scoring 62 while Imam Ul haq departed for just 10.

Skipper Shan Masood also scored a good half-century but number 4 Babar Azam has become a laughing object due to his poor outing today. When he came out to bat, Pakistan were 124/2 and after facing 7 balls, Aussie Captain Pat Cummins bowled a wonderful in-swinging delivery which Babar was unable to pick up, leaving a huge gap between his bat and his body.

Babar Azam was just trying to knock the ball down but didn’t judge the length or you can say did not expect the ball to move that much. His average of 24.15 in Australia in Tests, describes how badly he struggles outside of Pakistan to score runs. At Stumps on Day 2, Pakistan are 194/6 after 55 overs with Mohammad Rizwan and Aamer Jamal batting at 29 and 2 runs respectively and they trail by 124 runs.
