ENG vs IND 2018: India Receives Massive Boost ahead of the Fourth Test

Team India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has attained full fitness and is ready to take the field in the fourth Test against England at the Ageas Bowl.

Meanwhile, Ashwin was not entirely fit either for India’s third Test against England. However, the management decided to go on with him only to aggravate the injury. Ashwin struggled throughout the game and picked up only one wicket which fell on the last day of the Test. Furthermore, he bowled just one over in England’s first innings.

However, the dark clouds have started to move away as Ravichandran Ashwin began his bowling. Previously, he did not bowl a single delivery in the nets on Monday. He also did not participate in the fielding drill. On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja, who didn’t play a game yet had a full-fledged session on Monday.

However, Ravichandran Ashwin bowled full-fledged on Tuesday, which will be a massive boost for his side. As per reports in Aaj Tak, Ashwin had a great session and there were no signs of injury. However, BCCI is yet to confirm the same.

The premier off-spinner had a great start to this series bagging seven wickets at Edgbaston, although, India lost the match. Ashwin, however, couldn’t do much as he struggled with injury in the next two games.

Team India, meanwhile,  brimming with confidence after the 203-run win at Trent Bridge. They bounced back after trailing the series by 2-0. Moreover, they will have to win or at least draw the Southampton game to keep the five-match series alive. Ravichandran Ashwin will play a key role with Southampton pitch assisting the spinners a lot.

Furthermore, India made two changes for the last two Tests. They brought in young Prithvi Shaw and Hanuma Vihari in place of out-of-form Murali Vijay and Kuldeep Yadav.

The fourth Test between England and India starts from August 30 (Thursday) at the Southampton.
