New Zealand legend Ross Taylor revealed Virender Sehwag’s epic batting advice, which left him speechless during one of the IPL games in 2012.

Taylor will never forget the 2012 IPL season, when he was traded to Delhi for $1.3 million, as he disclosed in his new autobiography, Ross Taylor: Black & White, co-written with Paul Thomas, during which he revealed Virender Sehwag’s epic batting advice during one of the matches.

The Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) team had gone to Sehwag’s restaurant following one of their games. Taylor also enjoyed eating prawns while the rest of the crew watched Manchester City’s game, the memorable one in which Sergio Agüero scored in injury time to give his team a historic Premier League title win.

“At Sehwag’s restaurant, we spent a special evening. We were watching Manchester City play Queens Park Rangers on a big screen because many of the guys were football fans. Sergio Agüero scored in injury time of the Premier League’s penultimate round to give City a 3-2 victory and their first championship in 44 years.”

“The dinner was excellent, especially the prawns. I could not stop eating them, but I was unaware that Sehwag was watching me make a fool of myself “Taylor wrote in his book, an excerpt of which was published on Stuff.co.NZ.

Ross Taylor revealed that the next day, he appeared to struggle in an IPL game, whereas Sehwag appeared to be at ease, smashing the ball all over the park. The India legend then approached Taylor and gave him some highly amusing batting advice, which left the latter speechless.

“Next day, we had a game. Sehwag was hitting it hard in every zone while making it appear simple. I including, the hitters from overseas were having trouble. I was anxious because I knew I was on the line for a lot of money.”

“When I stepped up to the plate, the pressure was on, but Sehwag was so carefree that he glove-punched me and instructed me to bat like I was eating prawns. It appeared as though he was simply playing cricket for enjoyment. He then continued to bring up the prawns anytime we came into contact “Ross Taylor Added.

Taylor played only one season for Delhi, scoring 256 runs in 16 innings with a fifty.
