India will lock horns with New Zealand in the ICC World Test Championship final. The much-awaited Test match will commence at The Rose Bowl Cricket Stadium in England on June 18, 2021. After numerous Test series among 9 teams for over two years, India and New Zealand made it to the final after topping the points table.

Virat Kohli holds the 3rd spot on this list with 16 catches. The Indian captain has played 14 matches (28 innings) in the tournament so far. Virat Kohli is an astonishing fielder who has great energy on the field. Kohli has been also impressive with the bat.

In 22 innings, Kohli has scored 877 runs which consist of 2 centuries and 5 half-centuries. His highest score in the tournament is an unbeaten double century of 254 runs. He is also the third-highest run-scorer for India in ICC World Test Championship. Virat Kohli has successfully led the team during the tournament. He will also lead the team in the final of ICC WTC against New Zealand.

Rohit Sharma is 2nd on this list with 16 catches. Sharma has taken an equal number of catches of that of Virat Kohli, however, Sharma has played fewer matches so he gets the 2nd spot. Rohit Sharma has played 11 matches. Sharma has also scored 1030 runs in 17 innings, smacking 4 hundreds and 2 fifties. Rohit Sharma’s highest score in the tournament is a double century of 212 runs.

Rohit Sharma is also the 2nd highest run-getter for India in ICC World Test Championship. During the ICC World Test Championship tournament, Rohit Sharma showcased that he is a promising opener for India in Tests. He opened for the first time in Tests during series against South Africa in 2019. He smashed centuries in both innings in the first match and was awarded player of the match.

Overall, Rahane holds the 4th spot in most catches taken by players in the tournament. Rahane is also the highest run-getter for India in ICC World Test Championship. He has scored 1095 runs in 28 innings.

The right-handed batsman Rahane has smashed 3 centuries and 6 half-centuries in the tournament. His highest score in the tournament so far is a 115-run knock. Ajinkya Rahane successfully led the team in three Tests against Australia in the absence of Virat Kohli.
