The 36-year-old Morkel has a lot of experience in IPL. He last played in IPL 2016. In total, he has played 70 matches in IPL and grabbed 77 wickets. Morne Morkel played for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2009 and IPL 2010.

He was part of Delhi Daredevils from IPL 2011 to IPL 2013. From IPL 2014 to IPL 2016, Morkel played for Kolkata Knight Riders. With his experience, Morkel can be a good replacement for Jofra Archer.
