IPL 2024: Watch - MS Dhoni Refuses Fan's Autograph Request

Former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni has a huge fan base and there cannot be any corner of the world who will not know about MSD. While Dhoni is very less active on social media, his fans always want to know about his personal life. ‘Thala’ is also known for his cool and calm nature which is another main reason behind his huge fan following.

The social media is always flooded with videos of MS Dhoni. Be it someone’s wedding or a public event, glimpses of Dhoni’s presence at any event are available on the internet. In a recent viral video, MS Dhoni can be seen with some Army soldiers. In another video, MSD was seen interacting with a fan who was asking for his autograph. MSD refused the fan citing the reason that he doesn’t give his autograph on the hand.

Dhoni is one of the best and the most successful captains of the Indian cricket team. MSD is the only Indian captain to win three ICC trophies and also has won five IPL titles with the Chennai Super Kings. Apart from being a successful leader, MSD also knows how to groom players.

MS Dhoni has groomed many players such as R Ashwin, Shardul Thakur, Rohit Sharma, and many more under his captaincy. Such a player is Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube, who played a match-winning knock in the first IND vs AFG T20I match and credited MS Dhoni for the same.

Shivam Dube while speaking in the post-match interview stated that he keeps on implementing the tactics he has learnt from MS Dhoni whenever he comes into bat. Dube further added that he keeps talking to MSD, who guides him on how to tackle difficult situations.

Shivam Dube said, “When I came to bat, I wanted to implement what I have learnt from MS Dhoni about finishing games. I keep speaking to Mahi bhai. He tells me about how to tackle different situations. He has given me two-three tips and rated my batting. So, I feel if he rates my batting then I’ll keep playing well. My confidence went up because of that.”

While MS Dhoni retired from international cricket in August 2020, he can be still seen playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. The IPL 2023 could have been the last season for MS Dhoni in the cash-rich league, but for the sake of his loyal fans, MSD decided to play another season.

MS Dhoni has been hardly working up on his fitness and will once again be in action for the Chennai Super Kings and will lead the side.
