KKR vs RCB: Watch - Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir's intense chat days after burying the hatchet breaks internet

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Virat Kohli was seen having a healthy conversation with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) mentor Gautam Gambhir ahead of the game between the two teams. The match will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday (21st April). 

Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir have had their moments in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. During round 1 of the fixture between the teams, the two greats of Indian cricket were seen hugging each other at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru when the batter was batting in the middle. 

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Kolkata Knight Riders rivalry is mainly because of Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir. The duo over the years have engaged in some fierce battles and many times things have turned serious between them as well. 

During the IPL 2023, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were engaged in a verbal spat. It happened during the game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Lucknow Super Giants, of which Gambhir was a mentor last year in the league before joining KKR this season. 

Virat Kohli fought with pacer Naveen-ul-Haq and then Gautam Gambhir joined in as well. With them fighting last year, it was expected that they would have something similar this time around. However, that wasn't the case as the duo greeted each other pretty well. 

In the second leg of Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders just a day ahead now, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were seen having an intense conversation with each other. The duo were involved in a healthy chat and the video of that went viral on the internet.

Kolkata Knight Riders emerged victorious in the first round of battle between the teams. The Shreyas Iyer-led side produced a dominating effort with the bat and chased the big target easily. They would be eager to clinch the second leg as well and make their case strong for playoffs.

"I say it very openly that results do matter to me - Gautam Gambhir 

Gautam Gambhir recently talked about his mindset and said that results matter a lot to him. He admitted that the right process is a must but he needs results in his favor because fans come to watch KKR win. Speaking on the podcast, he stated: 

"I say it very openly that results do matter to me. I don't believe in this word called 'Process' & 'Do the process right, results will take care of their own'. For me, results matter, because people come to watch KKR win." 

KKR are currently in the second spot on the points table. They suffered a disappointing 2-wicket loss against the RR in a nail-biting thriller in their last game and would be keen for a win. If they manage to win here, they would be almost certain for playoffs. On the other hand, RCB are last on the table with just one win.
