Mumbai Indians take on KKR in match 51 of IPL 2024 in Mumbai on Friday, April 3. This is the first meeting between the two sides this season.

MI are heading into this game after losing their previous game against Lucknow Super Giants. They are still placed ninth on the points table.

Against MI their top-order fared very badly with Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma dismissed cheaply. Hardik Pandya, the skipper was out for a first-ball duck as the MI batting lineup was decimated

Nothing went right for Mumbai Indians in the game as they faced another heavy defeat in this season. However, MI have a good record against KKR and they should draw confidence from that history that is heavily in their favor.

After the heavy defeat to LSG and with 10 games done, MI face a must-win situation in their remaining four games to make the playoffs.

Rohit Sharma

Rohit will open the batting for MI. He has scored 1040 runs against KKR and has scored a hundred and six fifties against the side.

Suryakumar Yadav

SKY will slot in at three. He was out for 10 off six balls against LSG. He has a good record against KKR his former IPL franchise.

Tilak Varma

The southpaw will slit in at four. He is the highest run-getter for MI this season with over 350 runs for the season. He has scored three fifties this season.

Hardik Pandya (C)

Hardik the skipper was out for a first-ball duck against LSG. His leadership this season for Mumbai Indians have been questioned. He is not in good form with the bat but is still named in India's T20 World Cup squad.

Nehal Wadhera

The southpaw will slot in at six. He scored a 49 in the match against Rajasthan Royals which is his highest score in this year's IPL. This will be the fifth game of the season for him if he plays.

Tim David

Tim David will slot in at seven. He is yet to hit a fifty for MI in the IPL. Against KKR, whose seamers have gone around the park, he has a chance to make an impression.

Mohammad Nabi

Nabi will slot in at eight. He lengthens the batting lineup for MI and also can chip in with some useful overs. He has played six games for MI scoring 34 with the bat and picked up just one wicket.

Gerald Coetzee

Coetzee will slot in at nine. He is known to be a hard-hitter with the bat and has picked up 12 wickets with the ball so far this season.

Piyush Chawla

Chawla will be the specialist spinner for MI. He will be up against his former IPL franchise. He picked up 22 wickets last season and picked up just four wickets this season so far.

Jasprit Bumrah

Bumrah concludes the likely XI for Mumbai Indians against KKR. He has picked up 14 wickets this season so far and has picked up 20 wickets against KKR.

Impact Sub-  Romario Shepherd

Romario Shepherd with his hard-hitting ability can be the Impact Sub for MI against KKR. He also can bowl which makes him a good option for the Impact Sub role.
