West Indies

West Indies made their first T20 World Cup appearance in 2007. Appearing in 8 editions of the T20 World Cup, one of the most successful team of the T20 World Cup became the Champions in 2012 and 2016 where it defeated Sri Lanka and the England respectively. Other commendable editions for West Indies was of 2009 and 2014 where they became the semi-finalists.

 

With the current arsenal of talented youngsters and seasoned veterans, West Indies team remains a tough competitor for other teams in the format.

Now, in the 9th edition of the tournament, West Indies’s Captain Rovman Powell eyes the World Cup for yet another time and looking at the West Indies ICC T20 World Cup team, it looks strong as a contender to win the cup.
