New Zealand, also known as the Kiwis made their first T20 World Cup appearance in 2007, where it went ahead to the Semis and lost to Pakistan.

Appearing in 8 editions of the T20 World Cup, one of the most successful team of the format became the finalists in 2021 losing to Australia in the finals to lose the cup, they also reached the Semi Finals in 2016 and 2022 where it lost against England and Pakistan respectively.

Still, with the current arsenal of talented youngsters and seasoned veterans, New Zealand team is one of the strongest teams in the format.

Now, in the 9th edition of the tournament, New Zealand’s Captain Kane Williamson eyes the World Cup for yet another time and looking at the New Zealand ICC T20 World Cup team, it looks strong as a contender to win the cup.
