Australia, also known as the Kangaroos made their first T20 World Cup appearance in 2007, where it went ahead to the Semis and lost to India.

Appearing in 8 editions of the T20 World Cup, the most successful team of the format became the champions in 2021 beating New Zealand in the finals, reached the Finals in 2010 where it lost against England and Semi Finals in 2007 and 2012, where it lost to India and the West Indies respectively.

Still, with the current arsenal of talented youngsters and seasoned veterans, Australian team is one of the most successful teams in the format.
