Rishabh And The Rest Of India Took The Game On And Deserved To Win: Pat Cummins Lauds India After Being Adjudged 'Player Of The Series'

Champion fast bowler Pat Cummins lauded Rishabh Pant and Team India for the manner in which they went about their business in gunning down a record fourth-innings run-chase at the Gabba in Brisbane to eventually seal the series and the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by a margin of 2-1.
It was a bitter-sweet moment for Pat Cummins as he was adjudged the ‘Player of the series’ for the outstanding performances he put forward throughout the series as he eventually ended up as a member of the losing side.
He was at it again on the final day of the series as he maintained sustained pressure on the Indian batsmen and out of the seven wickets that Australia took in India’s fourth innings, four of them were picked up by Pat Cummins.
”Good hard day of Test cricket today. Rishabh and the rest of India took the game on and deserved to win. I wanted the cracks to do a bit more. If we bowled well I think we could have picked up wickets. In Sydney the game was there to win on Day 5, we just didn’t go for it, so yes, overall, quite happy,” Pat Cummins said in the post-match presentation.
