The second edition of South Africa’s domestic franchise league- SA T20 2024, is all set to commence on Wednesday, January 10. Six franchises will battle against each other to lift the title. SA T20 2024 league will take place in South Africa and witness the final on February 10.

Six teams who will wrestle with each other during the tournament are Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Joburg Super Kings, Paarl Royals, Durban Super Giants, MI Cape Town, and Pretoria Capitals. Sunrisers Eastern Cape is the defending champions of SA T20 2024.

Many domestic as well as international players are part of the tournament. In September last year, the SA T20 2024 auction took place. South African players like Aiden Markram, David Miller, Faf du Plessis, and Quinton de Kock, among others, are crucial members of the league.

Kieron Pollard, who is the new skipper of the MI Cape Town franchise, will play his debut season. The live telecast and live streaming of SA20 2024 will be available for Indian fans too this season. Below are all the details about the SA T20 second season.

SA T20 2024 Format

SA T20 2024 will take place in a double round-robin format. Hence, each team will play two matches against each opponent during the league stage. Later, the top four teams in the points table will qualify for playoffs. The top two teams will get two chances to reach the final.

There are a total of six venues in South Africa where SA20 league will be played. They are St George’s Park in Gqeberha, Kingsmead in Durban, Boland Park in Paarl, The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, SuperSport Park in Centurion, and Newlands in Cape Town.
