Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli showered praise on India’s U-19 World Cup-winning captain, Yash Dhull after the latter smashed a blazing century in his first-class debut for Delhi against Tamil Nadu in the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy.

Dhull partnered up with Nitish Rana first to revive the innings after Delhi had lost two batters inside the first three overs. He then teamed up with Jonty Sidhu to stitch a 119-run partnership which laid the platform for Delhi.4

Yash Dhull has announced his arrival in the first-class matches in style. Played with great composure to achieve a century , i am sure with consistent domestic performances and a good IPL season, playing for India is on the cards for this young lad. Congratulations Mr. Dhull.”

On the back of his century, Delhi had reached 291/7 at the end of play on Day 1 of the new season. They started off well on Day 2 as well, with overnight batter, Lalit Yadav reaching his hundred.
