Ever since Yuvraj Singh has announced his retirement from the game, he has been busy dropping verbal bombs. Not the one who beats around the bush, the former India batsman is known for his bold and outspoken nature. Just days after retiring from the game, he lifted the lid on the harsh treatment meted out to him by the selectors.

Yuvraj Singh revealed he was asked to prepare for the Sri Lanka series following the 2017 Champions Trophy and then to clear the yo-yo test to be eligible for selection. Yuvraj Singh did manage to clear the fitness test but was completely shunned out of the setup. He did not got another recall and eventually retired in June this year.

“Suddenly I had to go back and prepare for the yo-yo test at the age of 36. Even after I cleared the yo-yo test, I was told to play domestic cricket. They actually thought that I wouldn’t be able to clear the test due to my age. And that it would be easy to decline me afterwards…yeah you can say it was an exercise in making excuses,” he had said.

He made it clear that he was not at all happy with the selectors. His recent comments on the MSK Prasad-led selection panel further proves it. And it looks like Yuvraj Singh is not on good terms with his former captain and teammate Virat Kohli either. The legendary batsman, on Tuesday, took to Instagram to wish Kohli on his 31st birthday.

But the cryptic message more or less made it clear that Kohli and Yuvraj do not share the best of relations at the moment. He shared a couple of old pictures with Kohli, writing:

“Yeh bhi din they ! Aur ek aaj ka din hai ! Jahan bhi ho khush raho , God bless you always ! Happy birthday @imVkohli (Those were the days! And today is another one! Be happy wherever you are)”
