Alyssa Healy Scores 148 In A T20I Against Sri Lanka, Breaks Numerous Records

Yet again Alyssa Healy smashes a stunning knock for Australia to bag quite a few records in her kitty. Alyssa Healy on Monday became the ninth woman to appear in 100 Twenty20 Internationals.

It was in the fourth over when Alyssa Healy started to press her feet the accelerator, scoring three consecutive boundaries to take eighteen runs from that over. From that point on, there was almost no relief for the Sri Lankan bowlers, as Healy kept them chasing the ball more often than not.

Alyssa Healy smashes highest score for a women cricket in T20I:

The 29-year-old is only the second Australian to achieve the feat after Ellyse Perry, an ICC statement said.  Healy got ther during the second T20 International against Sri Lanka at North Sydney Oval.

Lanning was at the other end when Healy smashed a six to go past the skipper’s world record. Eventually, Australia finished with 226 on their board, equalling their highest team total in the format.

It was not only about a century but also she broke quite a few records during the course. It highest individual score in women’s T20I. And also, the highest individual score by a wicket keeper(either men/womens) in T20I.

Healy smashed 19 boundaries and seven sixes en route to her unbeaten 148 in Sydney and thus became the first-ever woman wicket-keeper to score a T20I century. Healy also posted the 4th highest individual score (both men and women). Only Aaron Finch (172), Hazratullah Zazai (162*) and Finch (156) are ahead of Healy when it comes to highest individual score in T20Is. The Aussie gloveswoman took just 46 deliveries to bring up her century.

All in all, it was a memorable day for Alyssa Healy. It certainly raised her bar yet again and showed why she is the best in business for Australia.
