Continuing his stunning run with the bat in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Sunil Narine, on Friday (April 26), impressed once again in the ongoing game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings at the Eden Gardens.

The left-handed batsman smashed scored 71 runs off just 32 balls with the help of 9 fours and four sixes. He got going by hitting Sam Curran for a brilliant four in the very first over and did not look back. By the time the powerplay ended, Sunil Narine had raced away to 38 runs off just 15 balls.

He completed his fifty off just 23 balls in the eighth over. Sunil Narine's knock finally came to an end in the 11th over when he was dismissed by Rahul Chahar. The leg-spinner bowled a wrong'un and Narine ended up hitting the shot straight to Jonny Bairstow at long-on. And as soon as Bairstow took the catch, Rahul Chahar came up with an interesting gesture. The PBKS spinner was seen turning back towards Narine with a folded hand gesture.

KKR are eyeing their sixth win tonight. The two-time IPL champions are currently at the second spot in the points table with five wins from seven games. A win tonight will further take them closer to the playoffs. PBKS, on the other hand, are languishing at the ninth spot in the points table with just two wins from eight games. PBKS need a remarkable turnaround to advance ahead of the league stage for the first time since 2014.
