Sunrisers Hyderabad takes on Lucknow Super Giants in match 57 of IPL 2024 on Wednesday. SRH now plays three home games before their league stage ends. They are placed fourth on the points table and need to win all their remaining games to stay within the top four. They lost their previous game against Mumbai Indians. 

CSK's thumping win against Punjab Kings have dropped them to the fourth position on the points table. They have played very well throughout the season and have a massive advantage of playing at home in their last three games. 

SRH will be playing their last three games at home and it is LSG whom they take on first on May 8, Wednesday. They are still very much in with a shout to make the playoffs. Playing at home in known conditions gives them an upper hand in playing for different oppositions accordingly

SRH have never won against LSG previously in the league Their spin attack is looking weak with Washington Sundar having played just two games this season while the likes of Mayank Markande and Shahbaz Ahmed not making much of a contribution. Their top-order batters and their bowlers remain the key heading into this contest

Travis Head 

Head will open the batting for SRH. He has been very consistent up at the top for his franchise. He went past 400 runs in the season in the last match. The Australian holds the key for SRH. 

Abhishek Sharma 

Abhishek Sharma has been a big impact player for SRH and forged a brilliant partnership with Head at the top of the order. He has hit over 30 sixes this season so far.

Mayank Agarwal

Mayank will slot in at three. He was included in the side to lengthen the batting lineup. He has not been in good batting form this season having played just three games this season and scored 59 runs. 

Nitish Reddy 

The right-hander will slot in at four. He has made a big impact for the side in the middle-order scoring runs for his franchise at a strike rate of 150. 

 Heinrich Klaasen (WK)

Klaasen will slot in at five. He has been the second-highest run-getter for the side and has hit the most sixes in the season so far. He has been very attacking especially against the spinners.

Abdul Samad 

Samad will slot in at six. He has been striking at a strike rate of almost 190 throughout the season. He has scored 148 runs this season so far. 

Shahbaz Ahmed 

The Bengal all-rounder will slot in at seven. He has played a few important cameos but not got regular chances with the bat. He has scored 176 runs for the season so far at a strike rate of 145. 

Marco Jansen 

Jansen will slot in at eight and extend the batting lineup for SRH. With the ball, he can be effective as well, especially with the new ball. He has yet to pick up a wicket this season. 

Pat Cummins (C)

Skipper Cummins will slot in at nine. He has taken 12 wickets in the season so far. He has been brilliant as captain so far and has found the support of his players.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvi will pair up with Cummins from the other end. He has picked up 8 wickets in this season so far and has bowled with an economy of over 10 which is unusual for him. 

T Natarajan 

Natarajan concludes the likely playing XI for SRH against LSG. He has been very accurate with his yorkers and has picked up 15 wickets this season so far.
