Well, Rishabh Pant is enjoying quite a time in Australia. Not only with his sledging or batting heroics but Rishabh Pant has also been collecting quite a few memorable moments in his life. He scored a stunning century on his mother’s birthday and dedicated to her, which made Adam Gilchrist and few other cricketers react to it.

Rishabh Pant scored an unbeaten 159* to his name in the ongoing Sydney Test. It was his second Test century in his career, which also broke quite a few records to his name. Meanwhile, it also pushed India to score a massive tally of 622 on the board.

“Happy birthday mom. You are the person who is always behind me no matter what. I love you so much. I still remember the time when you used to travel with me for my practices and matches. Thank you for taking all the stress of mine and making it yours can’t even express my feelings in words. Love you and happy birthday once again,” Pant posted on his official Instagram handle.

Meanwhile, the former Australian skipper Adam Gilchrist replied to that post saying,” Nice way to mom’s milestone mate.” And also,  there were other big names from the cricket fraternity, who sent their best wishes to the 21-year-old that included English women’s cricketer Danielle Wyatt and IPL franchise Delhi Capitals’ official Insta handle.

After the stunning knock, Pant is now the only Indian wicketkeeper to have scored a century in Australia and he did it in style. Besides that, he bagged quite a few records to his name as well.

Before Pant’s century, Farokh Engineer had the highest score of 89 for an Indian wicketkeeper in Australia, which he scored in Adelaide in 1967. With the hundred, Pant is now also the second highest scorer in the ongoing series in Australia.

Pant is also only the second visiting wicketkeeper to register hundreds in both England and Australia. Jeffery Dujon was the first when he scored centuries in Manchester and Perth in 1984.
