Former India batsman Yuvraj Singh has picked the player who can replicate his historic feat of hitting six sixes in an over in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

In 2007, Yuvraj Singh created history by becoming the first player to hit six sixes in an over in T20Is. He achieved the feat during the game against England in the inaugural T20 World Cup. Former England fast bowler Stuart Broad was at the receiving end of Yuvraj Singh's stunning assault.

The former batsman became the second player to hit six sixes in an over in international cricket. Earlier in the same year, former South Africa batsman Herschelle Gibbs became the first-ever player to hit all the deliveries in an over for sixes during the ODI World Cup game against the Netherlands.

After Yuvraj Singh, no player has managed to achieve the feat in the T20 World Cup although two other players have hit six sixes in an over in T20Is so far. West Indies' Kieron Pollard became the second player after Yuvraj to achieve the feat when he hit Sri Lanka's Akila Dananjaya for six sixes in an over in 2021. Earlier this year, Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airee became the third player to achieve the feat when he hit six sixes in an over against Qatar.

And while only time will tell whether a player manages to replicate Yuvraj Singh's feat in the upcoming T20 World Cup or not, the former India cricketer has backed Hardik Pandya to hit six sixes in an over in the marquee event. He picked the allrounder during a Question-Answer session with the ICC.

Yuvraj Singh picks semi-finalists for T20 World Cup 2024:

Yuvraj Singh was also asked to pick his four semifinalists for the T20 World Cup 2024. In reply, the legendary batsman picked India, Australia, defending champions England and Pakistan. Incidentally, three of the four teams picked by Yuvraj Singh had qualified for the semifinal of the last T20 World Cup as well.

While Australia had failed to advance to the semifinal at home in 2022, India, Pakistan, and eventual winners England had made it to the last four along with New Zealand.
