Australia’s premier fast bowler Mitchell Starc bowled with his tail up in the fag end of the opening day of the Boxing Day Test match. Starc got one to jump up from the length area which went over the top of Australia’s captain Tim Paine for four byes. Subsequently, Mitchell Starc smiled back at Virat Kohli whereas the Indian captain also saw the lighter side of the things.

In fact, Mitchell Starc had breathed down the neck of Virat Kohli in the 87th over of the day’s play. Starc was able to produce Kohli’s outside edge as the talisman went for the big cover drive. However, Tim Paine could not hold on to a tough chance as he fluffed the catch.

The Indian team was facing the opening woes as KL Rahul and Murali Vijay failed to give a solid platform to the Indian side. Consequently, Agarwal got his well-deserved chance after performing in the domestic circuit. He scored eight fours and one six in his knock.

On the other hand, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli continued their good form going. Both the right-handers batted with ease as Pujara scored an unbeaten 68 whereas Kohli is batting on 47 runs. Thus, India is in a commanding position and would like to strengthen their total on Day’s two play.
