Former Indian fast bowler Chetan Sharma has backed Jasprit Bumrah to pick up a hat-trick in the World Cup. Chetan Sharma believes Bumrah can scalp three wickets on the trot at any stage in the world. Bumrah has been consistent for the Indian team and has done a fine job in all the three forms of the game. The fast bowler has delivered the goods in every condition and he is going to hold the key in next year World Cup.

Bumrah gets his balls in the right areas as he is known to bowl at a brisk pace. Furthermore, he is always right on the money with his yorkers in the death overs. Thus, Bumrah has been instrumental in the success of the team. Meanwhile, Chetan Sharma is the solitary Indian bowler to scalp a hat trick at World Cup stage.

Jasprit Bumrah is India’s linchpin.

“Jasprit Bumrah is a player who can break any bowling record. In World Cups, I am the only Indian to take a hat-trick. Bumrah is so talented, I bet he can take a hat-trick anywhere in the world for India at any stage. I wish he does that soon and especially if he does it in the World Cup then it would be truly thrilling,” Sharma was quoted as saying by India TV.

Bumrah has done a great job for the Indian team as he has scalped 78 wickets in just 44 ODI matches. Moreover, he has bowled with an economy of 4.45. The fast bowler from Gujarat has also had a good start to his Test career.

Meanwhile, another exciting southpaw fast bowler has impressed with his skills. Khaleel Ahmed had a good start to his young career in the Aisa Cup. Furthermore, the Rajasthan player also backed it with a good show in the series against Windies. Thus, he has grabbed his chances with both hands.

“From what I have seen of Khaleel, he bowls pretty well whenever the conditions support fast bowling like he did at CCI. But it’s too early to arrive at a conclusion about him as he has only played a handful of matches. But it’s good to see that he comes into his groove very early and has the ability to bowl according to the conditions.

I think he will be really successful in England. It will also be interesting to see how he performs on bouncy Australian pitches if given the chance. Even though all our bowlers are right-handed, they are doing exceptionally well. However, a good left-arm pacer like Khaleel definitely gives variety to the attack. Let Khaleel prove himself and then they should include him in the team on a more consistent basis,” Chetan Sharma further said.

The Indian team is producing great talent with the ball in the last couple of years which hasn’t been a norm in Indian cricket folklore. Therefore, these promising young bowlers will like to keep showing an upward swing in their graph.
