Cricket Stars Pay Tribute To Their Teachers On Guru Purnima

People across the country are celebrating the auspicious Guru Purnima today. Guru Purnima is considered to be one of the most auspicious days in the Hindu calendar. The festival is celebrated to pay tribute to one’s Guru, mentor or teacher.People pay obeisance to their Guru on this day, thanking them for their teachings.

The celebration is marked by honouring one’s Guru. It is an expression of gratitude towards the Gurus by their disciples. Well, the cricketers also made sure to pay their tributes to their masters on the auspicious day. The likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Ishant Sharma, Suresh Raina and others took to Twitter to pay heartfelt tribute to the teachers.

“Today is the day to pay tribute to your #Guru. On this occasion, I thank all my Guru’s whose contributions have brought me to the level I stand today. Happy #GuruPurnima2020. May this day shower good health, happiness & positivity in all your lives,” wrote Ishant Sharma.

“There is no bigger person than the one who helps others become great with his knowledge and wisdom. Happy #GuruPurnima to all the Gurus who keep guiding us!,” wrote Ajinkya Rahane.

“On Guru Purnima, I want to thank all the people who have taught & inspired me to give my best. However, to these three gentlemen I am ever grateful. ??,” wrote the legendary Sachin Tendulkar as he posted a video to thank the teachers he is grateful to.

“#Gurupurnima~ Guru in it’s simplest forms mean Teacher and it’s greatest expression Mahadev. Today we honor all our teachers who guide, nurture and lead us higher. Wishing everyone a Happy & Blessed,” wrote Suresh Raina.

“Live quietly in this moment and see the beauty of all before you. The future wil take care of itself,” wrote former India opener Virender Sehwag.

“On this auspicious ocassion of #GuruPurnima , I offer my salutations and prayers to my Guru. May the divine light within all of us awaken and we live to our full potential,” wrote VVS Laxman.
