South Africa seamer Dale Steyn, who was ruled out of the Test series against India due to an injury revealed his favourite opponent cricketer, who he liked playing. However, Steyn is very interactive with his followers on social media site Twitter. Recently, Steyn had a question and answered session with his fans on Twitter.

There were some questions directed to South Africa’s premier fast bowler; however one single question stood out. One of the Twitter users asked Steyn to name his favourite cricketer from the opposition side against whom he liked playing. This included the friendliness of the cricketer and his behaviour on the pitch as well.

@DaleSteyn62 Who’s your favorite opponent to play against? Good on pitch banter/friendliness etc… #q&a #AskSteyn,” a Twitter user questioned Steyn.

Steyn over the years has played with a lot of legendary cricketers; however, he chose Sri Lankan wicket-keeper batsman Kumara Sangakkara as his favourite opponent. Steyn stressed that Sangakkara is perhaps the best cricketer to watch outside of South Africa.

“Probably @KumarSanga2 He’s by far my favourite player to watch outside of SA, but he’s genuinely the BEST guy out there too #smallcrushonSanga,” Dale Steyn answered.

Sangakkara is referred to as one of the gentlemen cricketers to grace the cricketing field ever.  Apart from staggering records to justify his greatness, he is well loved by cricketing fans all over the world for his down to earth attitude.
