Making his international debut back in 2005, Dale Steyn has emerged as one of the greats of the game. He is arguably one of the finest bowlers of all time and among the top three of the modern generation.
Pace and swing, everything was in his repertoire. Hence, Dale became such a threat in all conditions. Dale Steyn not only took wickets in favourable conditions like South Africa, England, and Australia, he was also pretty much successful in subcontinental conditions where nothing much is there for the faster bowlers.
It shows the greatness of a bowler who has served his nation with authority over the past decade and a bit. Dale Steyn’s records speak volume for his contributions to the game of cricket and South African cricket.
In 88 Tests, Steyn has bagged 421 wickets at an impressive average of 22. In ODI cricket he also boasts of a great record. In 116 ODIs, Steyn has bagged 181 wickets at an average of 26.
