England women cricket team star, Danielle Wyatt called Rohit Sharma’s performance against England in the third T20 ‘very good’.

Rohit Sharma scored a stunning century, as India thrashed England by seven wickets to win the three-match series 2-1.

It was an innings of the highest quality from the Indian opener. In fact, such was Rohit’s domination with the bat that the target of 199 looked ridiculously easy.

India’s chase didn’t start well with Shikhar Dhawan (5) sent back cheaply by David Willey. Lokesh Rahul scored 19 runs off ten deliveries before Jake Ball dismissed him.

However, Rohit was going great guns from the other end to keep the chase well on track. In Virat Kohli (43) he found a perfect partner as the skipper played a perfect second fiddle to put the English bowlers on the back-foot. The duo added 89 runs for the third wicket to bat England out of the game.

Rohit remained till the end, reaching his hundred off 56 balls to take India home. Towards the end, Hardik Pandya played a blinder, slamming 33 off 14 to make Rohit’s work easy. Pandya finished the game in style by lofting Chris Jordan for a maximum.

After the game, one fan asked Wyatt about Rohit’s innings, and the English star said:

Meanwhile, early in the game, India fought back brilliantly to restrict England under 200. Led by Jason Roy’s blistering 31-ball 67-run knock, England made a stunning start. However, India, led by Pandya (4-38), hit back to keep themselves in contention.

Roy and Jos Buttler came out all guns blazing. Buttler led the way, striking seven fours on his way to a 21-ball 34. Roy, on the other hand, was also taking the Indian bowlers to the cleaners. He reached his half-century from 23 balls before being sent back by Deepak Chahar.

The loss of both openers in the space of ten balls did little to slow England, as they raced away to 118 after 11 overs. The hosts were looking set to post well in excess of 200. However, Pandya brought India in the game by dismissing Eoin Morgan (6) and Alex Hales (30) in quick succession.

England kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and eventually got restricted to just under 200.
