Rohit Sharma hits an unbeaten hundred to lift India to a win the Bristol against England.

Team India opener Rohit Sharma became only the 2nd batsman in the world to smash 3 T20I centuries. The Hitman remained unbeaten on 100 of just 56 deliveries and looked in complete control of proceedings. In the opening match against Ireland, Rohit fell just 3 short of a century. However, he had to wait just a few more days as he completed the century in the most important day of the series.

England had scored a commendable score of 198 in their allotted 20 overs. However, in a small ground like Bristol, it wasn’t going to be enough. India had a tall batting line-up and the target looked within grasp. Rohit was due for some big runs and he delivered on the big stage, He started off with some exquisite drives and punches. He pulled two consecutive sixes of Chris Jordan and kept smashing the big shots on a consistent basis.

He eventually reached his century in the 18th over. Rohit smashed 11 fours and 5 big sixes during his exceptional knock. It was a special knock and it will set him up perfectly for the ODI series. The opening match of the series will be played on 12th July. As expected it will be yet another crackerjack of a contest and the Men in Blue will be hoping to seal another limited overs series.

Aussie opener Aaron Finch is in the list alongside Chris Gayle and Martin Guptill. Brendon McCullum, Glenn Maxwell, Evin Lewis and KL Rahul are the other 4 batters with 2 centuries.

Rohit comes in a different league and it is only a matter of time that he scores his 4th and 5th T20I century and beyond.
