England’s resurgence as a limited-overs powerhouse has been among the most fascinating tales this game has offered in the last couple of years. Under the ever astute and sharp leadership of Eoin Morgan, England have transformed colossally in all aspects and have become a force to reckon with.

England team was utterly ruthless against Australia, as the One-off Twenty20 International turned out to be a one-sided affair, much like the five-match One-day International series.

The ODI series saw the hosts decimating Australia and eventually winning with a 5-0 margin.

Despite going through a troubled phase themselves, Australia were made to look like a mere team full of rookies, thanks to England’s approach.

Along with Morgan, one individual, who has been integral in England’s successes, has been leg-spinner Adil Rashid.

Among the most successful bowlers since the 2015 World Cup, Rashid has been simply tremendous for England, picking up wickets frequently and playing a defining role in the all-important middle overs.

In the One-off T20I at Birmingham, Rashid played a defining role yet again. His three-wicket haul made things miserable for the visitors.

With figures of three for 27 in four overs, Rashid was named the Man of the Match for his exceptional bowling performance.

The calm leg-spinner Rashid soon admitted that skipper Eoin Morgan deserved all the credit. He praised Morgan for England’s dominance in the last few years.

“It’s been okay so far. The bowlers bowled exceptionally well throughout the summer. Hard work at the nets always pays off. Looking to develop new skills; that’s gone well so far,” Rashid told media.

“That’s part of the game – mixing it up. Even when Finchy was going well, I had to back myself and that’s what I did. It’s crucial for any team to have a captain like Morgan. He gives the confidence to the bowlers,” the leggie said about the Dublin born England captain.
