England Vs India 2018, 1st Test: Harbhajan Singh Hails Virat Kohli And Bowling Attack

Whenever India travel overseas for Test fixtures, the first puzzle they would face is in the bowling department. We always had sorts in picking 20 wickets in a Test match. Meanwhile, Indian bowlers did it to perfection in the ongoing England Vs India 2018 fixture at Edgbaston. The veteran Indian Harbhajan Singh can’t stop himself from praising the Indian set-up. He showered words of praise on the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli for his fantastic hunger to score the runs.

Moreover, the off-spinner further hail splendid efforts of Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami and Ishant Sharma respectively.

Speaking of Kohli’s brilliant knock, the off-spinner was out of words while giving his accolades to the modern-day star. He recalls an incident when Kohli first played for India against Sri Lanka and stated that his hunger is still the same.

As per Harbhajan, Kohli is the person whenever the team needs, he delivers the punch. He finished his praise with hats off and convey that he is proud of the 29-year-old veteran.

”For me, Virat Kohli is a guy who is the person whenever the team needs him. I remember when he came to Sri Lanka, none of the Indian stalwart players was able to pick Ajanta Mendis. But, Virat Kohli is keen to get into the middle and prove a point. He scored a fifty and the same kind of hunger he showed in Birmingham,” Harbhajan said.

 

”The kind of inning Virat played, wow. I have never seen that kind of an intent. It is the best. I have no words to describe him. The only thing to do is bow down,” he added.

The Punjab lad furtherly praised the efforts put in by Indian bowlers to rattle 20 wickets. He showered his accolades to Ashwin for his fantastic revolutions on the bowl and the went on speak about Shami and Ishant.

Speaking of Shami, Harbhajan added that seeing Shami back on the field is a great sight after going through a lot in his personal life.

Meanwhile, he rated Ishant’s spell as one of the finest spells by an Indian bowler.

”Bowlers have done a great job. Especially, Ravi Ashwin, he has been phenomenal and brilliant. The way he created a lot of revolutions is great to see. Of course, apart from him, Mohammed Shami has been brilliant in the first inning and good to see him on the field. He has gone through a lot and I wish him all the good luck,” he said.

 

”In the second inning, Ishant was all over the place. He was terrific. As a senior bowler, he responded well when the team needed him the most. Very well and I am proud of these guys. This team have it all to win the series in England and I am sure boys will respond really well. Keeping my fingers crossed for a tricky chase,” Harbhajan inferred.
