England vs India 2018: Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid Avoid the Champagne Celebration

England cricketers Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid ran away from the champagne celebration after their recent 4-1 win over India at the Kennington Oval in London. However, the Three Lions thrashed India by 118 runs in the fifth and final Test on September 11. Alastair Cook played his last international cricket; however, he scored a brilliant century in his final Test innings.

England won the first Test match by 31 runs at Edgbaston following the second match by an innings and 159 runs at Lord’s. India made a good comeback in the third Test at Tren Bridge where they put some good show and won the match by 203 runs.

Moreover, England sealed the series after they won the fourth Test match by 60 runs in Southampton.

Indian skipper, Virat Kohli scored the highest runs for his team in the tournament. Kohli and Sam Curran were declared as the ‘Player for Series’ for putting up their excellent show.

Meanwhile, Cook bagged the ‘Man of the Match’ award for his remarkable show with the willow.  Well, in the last Test at The Oval for his brilliant effort in the first innings scoring 71 runs. He scored 147 runs in the last innings.

Cook included his name with other four players who scored a century in his debut and final match.

Pace spearhead James Anderson became the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket as a fast bowler. He achieved the feat while picking up 564 wickets while surpassing Glenn McGrath.

On the other side, Moeen Alli, who played only two matches for England had contributed a lot from his end. He bagged with 12 wickets playing just two games for his team. He also put some show with his bat scoring 119 runs for his nation.

Furthermore, Adil Rashid who played all five matches for England couldn’t contribute much from his end. He bagged with ten wickets to his name wherein he didn’t bowl a single over in the second Test match.

Rashid contributed 90 runs from his bat. He scored some vital unbeaten 33 runs in the third Test where England lost the match by 203 runs.

However, Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali were seen running away while they were lifting the trophy as the team members were ready for the champagne celebration.
