Fans Ask Selectors To Pick Suryakumar Yadav In Indian Team After His Blistering Fifty For India C

Suryakumar Yadav, on Friday, once again proved his credentials as one of the best finishers in the country right now. The Mumbai star scored a herculean fifty for India C against India A in the ongoing Deodhar Trophy clash. Dinesh Karthik’s decision to bat first turned out to be perfect as India C finished their innings on a mammoth 366 for 3.

Openers Shubman Gill and Mayank Agarwal gave India C a solid start. Gill slammed 143 to lead the batting show. His knock came off 142 deliveries and was studded with 10 fours and 6 sixes. Along with Gill, Agarwal also scored a century. The India Test opener slammed 120 from 111 balls with the help of 15 fours and a solitary six.

The two openers gave India C a stunning start by adding a big stand of 226 runs. India A skipper Hanuma Vihari broke the stand when he accounted for Agarwal. Priyam Garg fell cheaply before Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav took the score past the 300-run mark. Shubman Gill was the next to depart with Ravichandran Ashwin taking his wicket.

From thereon, it was all about Suryakumar. The Mumbai star fired on all cylinders to help his side post up the huge total. Suryakumar Yadav started slowly and managed just 17 runs from the first 15 balls he faced. However, he changed gears in the last three overs and collected 55 runs from the next 14 balls he faced. He remained unbeaten on 72 from just 29 balls. The knock contained 9 fours and four sixes.

And soon after Suryakumar Yadav ended his knock, fans took to Twitter to hail his performance. The fans, in fact, not only praised the batsman but also urged the BCCI and the selectors to include him in the Indian team ahead of next year’s T20 World Cup.
