Harbhajan Singh, in his latest tweet, has finally asked the question publicly which is perhaps doing the rounds in almost every bowler’s mind in the world – How do you get Steve Smith out?

Continuing his red-hot form with the bat, the Australia skipper scored a fine century in the just-concluded fourth Ashes Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to salvage a draw. Ranked number one world in Test rankings, Smith scored an unbeaten 275-ball 102 to guide Australia to 263 for four and a lead of 99 runs before the captains agreed to end the match midway through the final session. Smith was well supported by Mitchell Marsh who scored 29 from 166 balls.

Smith came to the crease before lunch on day four, his team vulnerable at 65 for two. England must have hoped to register their first win in the series, but Smith once again dashed their hopes by scoring a fine ton.

Impressed with the knock, Harbhajan took to Twitter to lavish praise on the Australia star.

“How do you get this guy out?????Take a bow champion @stevesmith49 class ?????? what a player⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️? ?,” Harbhajan tweeted.

Smith has been in stunning form this series. The right-handed batsman, who has been sitting at the top of the ICC Test rankings for batsmen for the last two years, had already scored two centuries in the first three Tests including a career-best 239 in the Perth Test.

The latest century was his 23rd in 60 Tests, a remarkable feat for a player who began his career as a leg-spinning all-rounder and scored his first century just four years ago in his 25th Test.

His current batting average of 63.55 is second only to the legendary Don Bradman regarding batsmen with at least 20 Test innings. In the latest Test rankings that were released last week, Smith took his tally to 945 points, which is the joint-second best rating in the history of the game. The Australia star is now level with England legend Len Hutton and trails Bradman’s all-time leading tally by just 16 points.
