Hardik Pandya Congratulates Rahul Dravid for Getting Inducted in ICC's Hall of Fame

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya congratulates former Indian cricketer, Rahul Dravid getting inducted into the ICC’s Hall of Fame on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya has started the recovery process to make his comeback ahead of the tour of Australia ODI’s.

Dravid enters an elite list

However, Rahul Dravid became the fifth Indian player to be named in the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. Meanwhile, Indian legend, Sunil Gavaskar presided over the formalities ahead of the fifth ODI against the Windies. Also, the four Indians who got inducted in the ICC Hall of Fame before Dravid are –

Sunil Gavaskar (1971-1987) – inducted in 2009

Bishan Singh Bedi (1966-1979) – inducted in 2009

Kapil Dev (1978-1994) – inducted in 2010

Anil Kumble (1990-2008) – inducted in 2015

Furthermore, Rahul Dravid thanked everyone for the support for which he had been able to grant the honor.

“It’s a real honour and privilege to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame and be in the company of some of my heroes. Thank you to everyone for the support throughout my career,” Rahul Dravid said.

In July, this year at a ceremony in Dublin, the ICC announced Rahul Dravid, Ricky Ponting, and retired England women cricketer, Claire Taylor as the new inductees to the ICC Hall of Fame for their exceptional achievements in international cricket.

Furthermore, Dravid is currently in charge of India Under 19 and Inda A teams as a coach.

The right-hander had scored 13,288 runs in 164 Tests with 36 centuries. Apart from that, Dravid also scored more than 10,000 runs in ODIs from 344 matches including 12 hundred. He also became the ICC Cricketer of the Year as well as ICC Test Player of the Year.

In addition to that, Rahul Dravid was one of the best slip fielders in the history of cricket. He has taken 210 catches in his Test career which remains a world record.

However, India all-rounder, Hardik Pandya congratulated the legend Rahul Dravid for achieving the feat of being inducted in ICC Hall of Fame.

“You are a true gentleman of the game! Congratulations Rahul Dravid sir on being inducted into the @ICC Hall of Fame and joining the many other legends there!! You’ll fit in!”

Meanwhile, India will tour to Australia to play three ODIs, four Tests and three T20Is. The fast bowling all-rounder didn’t get a place in the T20I and Test squad.
