Team India fast bowler Mohammed Shami – Hasin Jahan feud has taken yet another turn. On Sunday (May 6), the pacer’s estranged wife visited a native village in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district, police said.

Didauli police station Inspector Ram Singh Katheria said Jahan approached the police and asked for protection to visit Sahas village.

Jahan then visited the village where she demanded to break the lock of Shami’s house so that, she could enter a house. However, the police officials were quick to turn down her appeal.

“We denied to break the lock as Shami’s family members were not there,” PTI quoted a police official.

Jahan had visited the place along with her two-year-old daughter Aairah Shami and lawyer Zakir Hussain.

Mohd Zameer, Shami’s uncle, said that Jahan’s visit had taken everyone aback, as she had not informed anyone about it.

However, he went on to say that she was still welcome into the house which is in the same neighbourhood.

“She can stay at our house as Shami’s family members are not here and their house was locked,” Zameer said.

The feud between Shami and Hasin started in March. Shami had found himself at the mid of the storm after his wife levelled sensational allegations against him.

Hasin alleged her husband was having extra-marital affairs with several women. She even claimed the pacer was physically assaulting and threatening her over a period of almost two years.

Cricketer’s wife posted several screenshots on social media to back her claims. The pictures showed the chats Shami allegedly had with multiple women.

She had also filed a police complaint against Shami at the city police headquarters at Lalbazar.

Not only Shami, but four other family members were also accused of torturing Hasin that saw them getting charged under several Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections.

Hasin had also mentioned Shami’s involvement in match-fixing. As a result, the Board of Control for Cricket in India was compelled to withhold his central contract.

But, after a thorough investigation from BCCI’s anti-corruption unit (ACSU) head Neeraj Kumar, the committee gave a clean chit to the Bengal-based bowler.

Recently, Hasin Jahan had accused him of age-fudging and fooling the BCCI.
