Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor, in a recent interview during a Star Sports’ pre-match show, confessed to her liking for Indian cricket heartthrobVirat Kohli. During the promotion of her upcoming movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’, Kareena was asked about a cricketer who according to her is the fittest owing to the contemporary cricket.

In reply, Kareena said: “I like Virat as he’s really fit and I find him hot.”

She, however, was quick to insist that she loves her husband Saif Ali Khan more before stating that she likes New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson, too.

“But Virat is already taken and I love my Nawab more! I like Kane Williamson, too. He’s also hot,” Kareena said.

Just like his batting, Kohli has also taken his fitness to another level in recent years. He had entered the international scene as a chubby guy before he started taking fitness much more seriously post an ordinary Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2012.

Kohli changed his training regime and eating habits completely. He realised the importance of remaining fit and is now reaping the rewards for his hard work.

County stint awaits:

Meanwhile, the India skipper Kohli is currently gearing up to play for Surrey in the 2018 County Championship. Kohli has signed up for the county team in order to prepare for the upcoming England tour.

The right-handed batsman Kohli will play for Surrey, for the month of June. In 2014, Kohli had endured a torrid time, scoring only 134 runs from 10 innings as India had lost the series 3-1. He scored 1, 8, 25, 0, 39, 28, 0, 7, 6 and 20 in the five Tests and finished the series with an unhealthy average of 13.50.

However, Kohli has come a long way since that disastrous tour. He is arguably the best batsman in the world right now. And has already proved himself in Australia and South Africa respectively. During the tour of Australia in 2014-15, he had slammed four tons in four Tests.

Since there on, Virat Kohli has also scored six double centuries including four in successive series.

Well, against England in the five-Test series at home, Kohli scored 655 runs and led India to a 4-0 triumph. He was also in top form in South Africa; smashing 871 runs across formats.

Concluding, Kohli was the leading run-scorer in the Test and One-day International series in the Rainbow Nation. The right-handed batsman will now be eager to leave his mark in England too.
