Pakistan have nearly an impossible task at hand when they go up against Bangladesh on July 5 (Friday) at Lord’s in London to trump New Zealand for a semifinal spot in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019. Australia, India, and England have booked the semifinal berth with only one place up for grab between Pakistan and New Zealand.

Sarfaraz Ahmed & Co have lacked to cash on the closing situations which find themselves in a tricky situation. The equation is simple; Pakistan need to bat first. They then need to score 400 and dismiss Bangladesh for 84. They need to beat Bangladesh by a margin of 316 runs not achieved in one-day cricket leave alone in the World Cup. On the other hand, if Bangladesh bat first, Pakistan will straightaway go out of the tournament.

Pakistan have been the most unpredictable team in the World Cup. They went down against West Indies before beating England and then suffering a few consecutive losses. But they must be proud of themselves for putting up a great every time they have come out on the field. The Men in Greens will look to come hard against Bangladesh as a team and beat them irrespective of whether they progress to the semifinals or not.

On the other hand, Bangladesh have really played some spirited cricket and entertained the fans. Especially Shakib Al Hasan, he has been the brightest star of the tournament coming good with both bat and ball. The all-rounder will look to improve his tally 542 runs and 11 wickets when they face Pakistan at Lord’s. Mashrafe Mortaza will be proud of his boys and will look come out strong and finish the campaign on a winning note.
