The DC vs MI IPL 2024 match is the reverse fixture between the two sides to be played in New Delhi on Saturday. This is a crucial game for both teams keeping in mind their standings on the table.

Delhi Capitals lost the previous game against MI at the Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai Indians piled up 234 batting first and won the game by 29 runs. At home, DC now has a chance to settle the scores against MI. They can take advantage of the unrest within the opposition team. Rishabh Pant who looks secure as a skipper can look to pressurise the opposition skipper Hardik Pandya. 

DC's biggest strength lies in their spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel. Khaleel Ahmed and Mukesh Kumar, they have two good young Indian bowlers doing well. For them to win against MI, they will need to perform as a unit

Mumbai Indians

MI started with three back-to-back losses in this campaign. They next won two on the trot and one of their wins was against DC. Just when it looked like they were coming back on track, they lost two back-to-back games against CSK and RR. 

Hardik Pandya's captaincy has been a hot subject of debate after every MI loss. He has had a very poor season so far scoring just over 150 runs and taking just four wickets with the ball. His calls and tactics as captain have been repeatedly questioned.

RR hammered MI by nine wickets when they had 180 to defend. In that game, Bumrah went wicketless making things very difficult for MI. MI does not look to have a settled unit so far in the campaign and this unsettling nature might cost them yet another away game.

Anrich Nortje vs Rohit Sharma 

Teams have used their premier bowlers to dismiss Rohit Sharma quickly. RR used Trent Boult to dismiss him twice cheaply. DC have Anrich Nortje who can trouble him with his pace.

Suryakumar Yadav vs Kuldeep Yadav 

SKY is a churner of runs for MI in the middle overs. DC have Kuldeep Yadav who is a specialist at taking wickets in that phase of the game. Kuldeep will be eyeing up SKY in the game. 

Rishabh Pant vs Jasprit Bumrah 

Pant is very much the finisher for DC. He will have to counter BUmrah in the final overs. This is an enriching contest and one that might well decide the fate of the game. 

DC vs MI Key Players

For DC, David Warner, Rishabh Pant, and Jake Fraser McGurk will be the premier batters. With the ball, Anrich Nortje, Khaleel Ahmed, Muhesk Kumar, and the spin twins Axar and Kuldeep will be key. 

For MI, the cream of their batting Rohit, Kishan, and SKY will be key. With the ball, not many of their bowlers have been picking up wickets. Then Jaspeit BUmrah will be their premier bowler along with Piyush Chawla.

The temperatures will be around 40 degrees for the DC vs MI game in New Delhi, This being an afternoon game, there should not be much impact of dew.

There is no threat of rain as well and thus the conditions will be hot and humid. SRH scored 266 in the very first game played here. Given the small ground dimensions and the batting-friendly wicket, we can expect another high-scoring game. 

Conclusion 

Delhi Capitals still have three home games remaining. This is their opportunity to win some matches and bring them back into the race. MI have won two out of their three wins at home and have not played well on the road so far.
