ICC World Cup 2019: Twitter Reacts as MS Dhoni Rips Bangladesh Bowlers Apart

Indian National Cricket Team posted a massive total in the second warm-up game against Bangladesh banking on massive centuries from MS Dhoni and KL Rahul. Especially Dhoni looked in sublime touch as he murdered the Bangladesh bowlers dispatching them over the boundary ropes.

Meanwhile, India didn’t have a good start losing Shikhar Dhawan early as Mashrafe Mortaza asked India to bat first. Since then, skipper Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma looked to bail their side out. Just when they looked to take the game away from Bangladesh, Rubel Hussain struck to bring his side back in the game. Kohli also followed the pack soon after a brilliant yorker from Saifuddin crashed his timber. Vijay Shankar also failed to capitalise on the opportunity as India were reeling at 102 for four in 22 overs.

However, once MS Dhoni came to the middle, he was all over the Bangladesh bowlers. He combined well with KL Rahul to add 100+ runs for the fifth wicket and turned the course of the game. The duo absolutely dominated the Bangladesh bowlers in the middle overs hitting the ball at will. Mortaza tried various options but only to fail as vintage Dhoni was back for India much to the relief of Virat Kohli.

The former India skipper came down the track with ease to dispatch the spinners over the boundary while he stood and delivered against the pacers. The likes of Rubel Hussain and Saifuddin who shed fire with the new ball couldn’t do much against the veteran batsman. During the process, Rahul brought his century in style to almost seal his place for the tournament opener. However, MS Dhoni kept going and brought his century in style to gear up for the marquee competition. Dhoni brought his hundred in style with a six over the bowlers head in 73 balls including eight fours and six towering sixes.

MS Dhoni, who has been in form since the start of 2019, will be crucial to India’s chances. And this murderous form will send a message across to the other team only two days ahead of the tournament.
