India vs Australia 2019: Twitter Reacts To India's ODI Squad Against Australia

The respective Board of Control for Cricket in India announced their squads for the upcoming series against Australia. They have named 15-member ODI squad with few interesting inclusions to the side. They recalled KL Rahul to the side and left out Shubman Gill and Dinesh Karthik from the squad that toured Kiwis.

Perhaps, they wanted to give one final shot for the young Rishabh Pant ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019. In between, the remaining squad has been retained by the Indian board with Virat Kohli leading the side in both formats.

KL Rahul gets the nod:

Surprisingly, India asked Rohit Sharma to play the game, who haven’t got any rest phase in the recent past. Shikhar Dhawan is an obvious opening choice while Shubman Gill was unlucky to miss out. Meanwhile, it would be a great chance for KL Rahul to show his skills.

Another retention in the side is Vijay Shankar. His impressive knock in the 5th ODI against Kiwis might have saved him to present in the side. Another major comeback of a player is Jasprit Bumrah, who has been rested for Kiwis series.

In between, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been rested for the first couple of games in ODI format. Siddharth Kaul will do the duty in absence of Kumar. Bhuvneshwar would be returning back in the final three ODI games of the series. Another surprising ouster from the side is Khaleel Ahmed, who leaked runs in the T20I series.

Mohammad Shami retained his place in the side after a stunning show in the ODI series. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was mentioned as the wicketkeeper in the bracket. Perhaps, Rishabh Pant was chosen as the specialist batsman.
