Both Mumbai and Punjab will come from the back of a win and will be keen to continue the winning momentum. The inclusion of Windies pacer Alzarri Joseph has made a massive change in the bowling attack of Mumbai Indians. With Lasith Malinga back to his country, Joseph has stepped up at the right time. He made a spectacular debut returning with figures of six for 12 – the best in the history of IPL. Joseph will look to keep up the good work and forge a partnership with Jasprit Bumrah to derail the Kings XI Punjab batting.
However, their batting has done a good job with everyone chipping in with useful contributions. The form of Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard in the middle-order will be a massive confidence booster for their side.
On the other hand, Kings XI Punjab will rely on their top-order to do the bulk of the scoring. They have lacked depth in their batting order and will mostly on their top three batsmen to score runs. KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal have been in among the runs will be a good sign. The bowling have also done pretty well with Ravichandran Ashwin pairing up well with Mujeeb-ur Rahman. All in all, the fans can expect an exciting clash on Wednesday afternoon at the Wankhede Stadium.

Statistical Highlights
-
Yuvraj Singh has so far scored 2750 run throughout his IPL career playing for different franchises. Thus, he is 250 runs away from completing 3000 IPL runs.
-
Mumbai Indians all-rounder Krunal Pandya has 799 IPL runs to his name. As a result, he is 201 runs away from touching the milestone of 1000 runs in his IPL career.
Pitch Conditions
Wankhede over the years have produced flat tracks making the job of the bowlers tough. The batsmen will make merry out of this pitch, and both sides have good strikers of the ball in their ranks who will look to make the most out of the conditions.
Weather Conditions
The temperature will be hovering around 28 degrees Celsius, but the real feel will be over 30 degree Celsius with the presence of humidity in the air. The relative humidity level will be over 75 percent making it tough for the cricketers.
Meanwhile, there are no chances of rain at all; thus, we can witness a full forty overs of action. Also, there will be dew on the ground and the team winning the toss will look to bowl fast as no score is defendable in a ground like Wankhede.
Match Predictions
The fans have witnessed a lot already in this edition of the Indian Premier League, and this game has already the ingredients to be a spectacular one. The statistics also suggest both teams will fight till the last and will want to snatch a victory.
Kings XI Punjab have made the Mohali stadium their fortress but will look to continue the good job on the away games as well. Going by the home crowd and depth in Mumbai Indian’s batting line-up, the home side holds a slight advantage when both teams take the field on Wednesday night.
