Former cricketer and Australia’s head coach Justin langer stated that the team is looking for a finisher like MS Dhoni in the limited-overs format.

Concurrently, Dhoni and co. are in Chennai gearing up for the 13th season of India’s premier franchise T20 cricket tournament. The CSK squad is sweating it out to grab their fourth IPL title.

Dhoni has been away from international cricket for a long time now. He last played for India in the semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and after India’s elimination from the tournament, Dhoni hasn’t played an international game.

IPL 2020 will be a crucial stage for him to deliver the goods and make a strong case for inclusion in the Indian T20 World Cup squad which will take place later this year in Australia.

Meanwhile, Australian coach Justin Langer has showered praise on the former Indian captain saying that the Australian team needs a finisher like him.

“We’ve been fortunate in the past with a Mike Hussey or a Michael Bevan who are masters at it (finishing a game). MS Dhoni is a master of it, Jos Buttler has been brilliant at it for England,” ICC quoted langer as saying.

“What I’ve learned is everyone in the world is looking for it,” he added.
