Pakistan Squad For T20I Series Against Zimbabwe Announced

After a thrilling win in the ODI series which saw a Super Over, Pakistan have announced their squad for T20I series against Zimbabwe. Pakistan clinched the ODI series 2-1 with Zimbabawe winning the final game in the Super Over. The T20I series will get underway from November 7.

Pakistan have announced the T20I squad ahead of the series which saw three players being released. Abid Ali and Imam-ul-Haq were a part of the Pakistan squad only for the ODI leg of the series while Haris Sohail has been sidelined after he suffered an injury in the first match of the series.

Zimbabwe tour of Pakistan schedule

ZC had sent a five-person delegation to Pakistan to assess the arrangements for the teams’ bio-secure bubble. The delegation, comprising two health officers, one security in-charge, and two ZC executives began their inter-city travel after returning two negative Covid-19 tests within 48 hours of arrival in Islamabad.

The T20I series will get underway after a three-day break on November 7 and will conclude with the final game on the 10th.

Zimbabwe will tour Pakistan for the first time since 2015 after they became the first Full Member to visit the country after the terror attack on the Sri Lankan team in 2009.

Pakistan T20I squad: Babar Azam (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Abdullah Shafiq, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan, Musa Khan, Rohail Nazir, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Usman Qadir, Wahab Riaz and Zafar Gohar.
