It seems like cricketers inspired themselves to introduce something new to the cricket fans. On the other day, it was Cheteshwar Pujara, who played with a water bottle in his pockets, now, it is the turn of Mitchell Starc to do something similar. He played by intaking pickle juice during the game to avoid the cramps.

Mitchell Starc, who returned to the game after a lengthy lay-off, once again suffered cramps during the match against Pakistan in the first Test. He suffered cramps in his calves and groins on day one of the first Test in Dubai

There was a lot of Pickle Juice – Mitchell Starc

Speaking of the incident, Mitchell Starc quoted saying there was a lot of pickle Juice available to avoid the cramps. However, they didn’t work much for him, as Starc already got the cramps before having the juice.

Further, the premium fast bowler quoted Travis Head helped him in carrying the pickle bottlers during the progress of the game. Speaking in the context of the game, he is hopeful of giving a tough fightback in the game.

“There was a lot of pickle juice,” Starc said before play on Monday. Travis Head looked after me. He had a couple of bottles in his pocket for me. It’s only come in in recent times I think but it’s supposed to help stop the cramps coming on,” Mitchell Starc quoted as a saying.

“Unfortunately, they were already coming on for me so it was trying to (shorten) it a little bit. Cramps in both the calves and the groins weren’t fun, It was a bit of a struggle and a bit of a fight on our hands. But I think the way we came back in that last session, (to get) some late rewards and restrict the scoring was what we were after on a pretty docile wicket.” he added.

However, for the first time, this scenario took place, as previously, none of them stated that pickle juice would help in cramp issues.

However, Mitchell Starc has been back on the field for the 2nd-day play in the Test match.
